Townhouse sunbeam
This house embodies a manifestation of minimalism, mystery, and a modern urban landscape. Its strict, monolithic black façades create a sense of monumentality and impenetrability, emphasizing its visual dominance over the space. The small, asymmetrically placed windows appear like glimpses of light in the darkness, evoking associations with the fragmentary nature of perception and the limitations of our understanding of the interior. The façade, reminiscent of a digital mosaic, is designed to create a sense of enigma, prompting thoughts about what lies hidden behind its massive shell.
The concept of the house explores the boundary between the internal and external, the private and the public. Does the house serve as a shelter from the outside world, or is it, on the contrary, a barrier to interaction with the environment? This project reflects the idea of isolation and inaccessibility, emphasizing the duality of spatial perception: on one hand, it is a safe and cozy refuge, and on the other — a wall separating its inhabitants from the rest of the world. The house becomes a metaphor for our dual nature, where we seek safety yet sometimes find ourselves trapped within our own limitations.
